Resan till Dalen

  • Saturday 15:00, Tonsalen

Journey to Dalen is the story about grandma that lives alone and peacefully with her animals, high up in the mountains. After a long and hard winter the food becomes scarce and grandma realizes that she needs to move. She remembers Dalen, the big city below the mountains where she lived as young. There she can settle. After a long walk she arrives to Dalen, but problems show up. Around Dalen a large wall has been built, with guards placed along it. One of the guards explains that she needs a passport to get in. What is a passport? Such things did not exist when grandma previously lived there. How will she enter Dalen without it?
Journey to Dalen is a story with realistic problems and situations that many escaping people have experienced, narrated for children from 3 years. How can it feel to not be able to reach all the way, when the journey has been tough? The story is thought to be a mind opener with opportunity for reflection for both children and adults. Alongside the legend about the flute of Dalen, that brings a happy ending for grandma at the end.
